Dog Friendly Holidays
No need to leave your four-legged friend behind! The Riviera Hotel welcomes dogs, making it the perfect choice for a dog-friendly holiday in Bournemouth, where the whole family can relax and enjoy a memorable seaside break together. To help your pet feel at home, dogs receive complimentary treats on arrival, and dog blankets are available on loan for use during your stay. Bournemouth and Alum Chine are fantastic destinations for dog owners, offering miles of scenic coastal walks, sandy beaches, and open green spaces to explore. Many local beaches allow dogs outside the seasonal summer restrictions, making it an excellent choice throughout the year. For longer adventures, enjoy stunning coastal walks towards Sandbanks, Poole Harbour, and Hengistbury Head, where you and your dog can take in spectacular sea views along the way.
Dog Friendly Dorset
If you're planning to explore beyond Bournemouth during your stay, Dorset offers a fantastic variety of dog-friendly attractions, scenic walking routes, and outdoor adventures for you and your four-legged companion. From rolling countryside and ancient woodlands to dramatic coastal landscapes, there are endless opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors together.
Popular dog-friendly destinations include Corfe Castle, where you can explore historic ruins and surrounding countryside trails, Badbury Rings, an ancient Iron Age hillfort with beautiful woodland walks, and Kingston Lacy, a stunning National Trust estate featuring extensive parkland and dog-friendly grounds. For coastal adventures, head to Swanage, Lulworth Cove, or Studland Bay, where you'll find spectacular sea views, scenic walking paths, and plenty of open space for dogs to run, play, and explore. The nearby Jurassic Coast also offers some of the most breathtaking dog-friendly walking routes in the UK.
Dining with your Dog
Dogs are very welcome at the hotel, and you’re invited to dine with your four-legged companion in the Bridge Bar & Grill for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are also comfortable reception alcoves where you and your dog can relax after a long day exploring Dorset.
Riviera Dog Policy
We’re happy to welcome dogs, with one dog allowed per room for a £15 charge per night. To make everyone’s stay comfortable, we simply ask that dogs are kept on a lead in public areas and are not left unattended in bedrooms. Dog blankets and water bowls are also available to help your four-legged companion feel right at home.
