Make sure you have a safe way of getting home whether it be by bus, taxi or a designated driver/friend or family member who is happy to pick you up. 4) Mingle – Use this opportunity to chat with those who do not work in your department or to network and make a good impression to those in a higher position. 5) Hit the dance floor - it will keep your mind off drinking alcohol and eating too much food and will show your work colleagues what a laugh you can be 6) Dress to impress – Whether you are out to dress to impress, have a little fun with some costumes or just fancy a smart-casual affair all are very welcomed at Christmas parties
